Herculaneum. They were arrested by police in Portsmouth, a husband and wife Roma, Romanians domiciled in the gypsy camp of Herculaneum, which will soon be displaced. The couple Asan Tudor, and Ioan Alexandrina, both 43-year old, forced their children, a boy and a girl, 14 and 11 years, to beg from passers-by and public places of Portici. The two children were also forced to rummage in the garbage bins. As if all this were not enough father, to attract the attention of passers-by pretended disability, making push the child on a wheelchair. During the operation
the police have seized 600 € considered and the gain of the wheelchair.
The two arrested are now in Poggioreale and Pozzuoli, while the children were assigned to social services of Portici.
This leads us to reflect on how complicated the question of the Roma. Evict them from the scope of Herculaneum is the easiest solution, but not necessarily be the right one. in doing so there only wash their hands, hoping that someone else deal with it. In the meantime, however, that "we are passing the buck" to others, those children will always be exploited and forced into begging, and should only think about playing and going to school. So we always wash our hands?
