PEACE: goal of all

Herculaneum. The "Spirit of Assisi" also goes to Herculaneum. Yesterday, at 18, Villa Campolieto hosted one of several panel discussions organized in these days of the Sant'Egidio community at the meeting of religions "For a world without violence."
After visiting the beauties of our city, the Swiss, Paul Grossrieder, former Director General of the International Committee of the Red Cross, the Finnish Food Houtari, Lutheran bishop and Archbishop of the Orthodox Patriarchate of Alexandria, Seraphim Kykkotis, beginning before the meeting to a large audience. For
start work after a brief tribute of polyphonic choral "City of Herculaneum," the first citizen of the city excavations, Nino Daniele: "We are here to support peace in the name of God, the violence gets worse over the world, of what we have to convince everyone. Only dialogue, dialogue between religions and between believers and secular ... is what makes it strong, protects us and makes human progress possible. All together we have a great responsibility for world peace, justice and freedom, and that is why we are proud that this dialogue will walk the streets, for the monuments and the souls of our fellow citizens. "
No war is holy, who use the name of any god for war does nothing but demean the religious sentiment. The title of this roundtable is "Christians and peace," but in practice what they have done and what Christians do, and not Christianity, for peace? This question has been answered, through his personal experience, between a conflict and another, Paul Grossrieder, defined by the listeners "Gino Strada International. He spoke to an eyewitness, but his example is not very encouraging. He told us of his experience in India, in Jakarta, and in Rwanda, where he has not seen behavior as Christians. Suffice it to say that the majority Hutus and Tutsis were killing each other that they were Christians, had been evangelized. "They were ordinary people like us, at other times would never have killed him ... "so Grossrieder defines them. It was the tragic situation, where violence and urged all forgot the hope of peace. Just think that some clerics were Hutus and Tutsis recreation separately, not to meet!
"Do not just be a Christian to be artisans peace! - Commented bitterly the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross - we need the will and courage to be peacemakers and to want to be, even in the most tragic, even when you are the stronger party. "
manufacturers peace are primarily men, before participating in a religion, a ethnicity, to a political party, are primarily involved in the same humanity!
"Christianity is in itself universal, but unfortunately you end up treating the interests of a few. - Archbishop says bitterly Lutheran - religions should be instruments to find peace. The common enemy is a world without God. God encourages us and directs us towards peace because this is his gift. "
" This meeting is a chance to look to the future ", this word begins with the poignant speech of His Eminence Seraphim Kykkotis. "Religions have the same subject, can not divide. Yesterday at the San Carlo, the Muslims spoke of peace as a priority of the Koran, the Torah as the Jews. "
So what's behind the religions that do not allow the peace? In Iraq, the campaign against Muslims and Muslims, Palestinians and Israelis believe in peace itself. What are the reasons that hinder the peace? Simple, is politics. "The world does not find peace - continues the archbishop orthodox - because of political interests. One way is forgiveness and prayer, but the interests are many. Americans spend too much money for weapons for the war, ignoring the research. Every three seconds a child dies!
Without justice we can not think of making peace. "
in the room, including Monsignor Di Donna, soon auxiliary bishop of the archdiocese of Naples: "Three hours of presentation at the San Carlo, millions of people, many words to affirm one thing clear to all in the name of God does not kill! Something is wrong. There are religious reasons to justify wars, religions are just the glue. Prophecy is expose the great lie, as John Paul II stressed. There is no clash of cultures and religions. An example is the war in Iraq, what is the motivation? Oil! The reasons are economic interests and nationalism, religion is exploited. The risk is that monotheistic religions were accused of being the cause of all evil, resulting danger of forgetting God. "
In conclusion, the lack of communication prevents peace. Dialogue is used to understand the other, when it stops, is not peace.

For a world without violence, religions and cultures in dialogue

Herculaneum. After Rome, Warsaw, Bari, Malta, Lisbon, Barcelona, \u200b\u200bPalermo, Aechen, Lyon, Milan, October 21 to 23, including Naples, "the city significant for its history and its location in the heart of the Mediterranean, a crossroads of different traditions cultural and religious, will be the capital of PACE.
In a time when religions seem to be hoisted as a signal of cultural differences and, consequently, of confrontation, just from the world of religion there comes a message of hope and dialogue, "For a world without violence, religions and cultures in dialogue", the title of the event.
For three days the city of Naples will host all the religions of the world together for peace.
Unfortunately the media seem to bring this great event in the background, focusing more on the visit of Pope Benedict XVI on Sunday. Although honored by the visit of our pope, who as head of the Catholic Church will meet representatives of other religions, which should fill us with joy is a big step forward towards a world of respect: the faithful of the most varied existing credit the world, walked arm in arm, toward one goal: to respect and peace.
This important event will touch the summit and the conclusion, on Tuesday at 17.30 when we pray together, not in the same place, but at the same time and according to their traditions. On this occasion will, however, can attend the celebrations at the various religious rites. After the prayer includes all the different communities in the same march for the procession for peace and the final ceremony in the square of the Plebiscite.
Several round tables are scheduled during the three days, one of which is to take place in Villa Ercolano Campolieto.
The meeting will be on "The Christians and peace ", it envisages the presence of Mayor Daniel Nino, while the speakers will be:
- Christophe D'Aloisio, the Belgian president of Syndesmos, international fraternity of 126 Orthodox youth organizations;
- Paul Grossrieder, Switzerland, Director-General International Committee of the Red Cross
- Food Huotari, bishop of the Lutheran Church of Mikkaili, Finland;
- Seraphim Kykkotis His Eminence, Metropolitan Archbishop of Potoria and Johannesburg, South Africa, the greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Alexandria and All Africa.

Just because all the other newspapers and TV stations give little importance to this event, Don Joseph, pastor of St. Catherine, along with the Sant'Egidio Community, Monday, Oct. 15 in the halls of the Basilica of Pugliano, held a meeting, which we call the "Spirit of Assisi" to explain to the parties concerned, the "spirit" of this event, which was attended among others , Principal and Professor Iacomino. Accardo
After over again, with some slides of the various religious approaches, recalls how his father Joseph at this time need a "new humanism for a dream of peace."
After September 11 it's more difficult, you try another, the guilty, we are led to be afraid of other than themselves. The dialogue is a necessity, a question, but also an answer to everything, and it is their religions. As Alexander points out, the Sant'Egidio community "dialogue does not leave anyone helpless, nothing is lost in it."
The comparison with others does not negate the differences, but deepens the identity.

Living under occupation

Imagine living under occupation: Imagine having to go to school at eight, having to wake up at four, because you already know that questions you will find that the five checkpoints on the road, imagine having to go to the grocery store and did not know if whether we succeed or come back, imagine you want an evening out with friends, risking, however, to remain trapped between a checkpoint and another, because at seven in the evening close, and no one can take up to five in the morning, imagine that Your city is surrounded by a wall and your family have found themselves over the wall, think you can see them? No, you do not allow it. Imagine that there is a semblance of democracy, with elections, but, unfortunately, to rise to power is a party to the great inconvenience of the world. What's happening? That they cut off aid and that could not receive his salary for months. Imagine
. We can only imagine, but some jobs lives. The boys, men, women, children live in Palestine every day situation. Dialogue

There is no single point of view, not only are your reasons, your way of thinking, living, eating is not the best there is. The truth is necessarily what you think, or better, may not be one. The truth is the diversity, is to change opinion, is the dialogue:

"The experience of truth is given only in dialogue, the dialectic of question and answer that feeds the circular motion of understanding "(Gadamer)

Fun and awareness

Tower of Greek. "Open your newspaper any day of the week and you will find the news that somewhere in the mondoqualcuno was imprisoned, tortured or killed because his opinions or religion are unacceptable to ilgoverno. [...] The newspaper reader feels a sickening sense of impotence. But if these feelings of disgustoovunque in the world could be united into common action something effective could be done. "
was 1961, with these words, Peter Benenson, British lawyer, gives birth to Amnesty International, a nongovernmental organization that campaigning for the rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other documents on international protection, are respected and protected.
In '61 began the campaign for an amnesty of prisoners of conscience, since then numerous campaigns have seen the light: against the death penalty, violence against women, campaigns for children's so-called "invisible" ...
Today, more than two million people are from who have decided to join this international organization. Since 1975 Italy has over 80,000 members.
Even the Vesuvian towns have their own group, 232, this is its name, a small, but with high ideals, which is based in the Tower on a Greek Martyrs of Africa, within which, on Tuesday took place the new appointments.
After two years, left the position of manager Stephen Edwards, which replaces Dario Judge. Gerardo becomes deputy head again, which takes over from Cordua Diego, was reconfirmed as treasurer of the Mara Cordua. The high quality of this group is fantasy. Yeah, because even for bringing people to the great problems of the earth, we must keep pace with the times. It ended the era of campaigns from the pulpit of a church. And that our friends are well aware of the Greek Tower: Saturday, Sept. 8 will be devoted to increasing awareness and fundraising, how? With a party on the beach, Lido Jasmine, 5 € entry with one drink free. There will be music, food, drinks and all Amnesty groups in the region. "It seems to me that the dream is a defense against the regularity and abitudinarietà of life, a free entertainment of the imagination shackling, where it messes up all the images of life and interrupts the constant seriousness of adult children with a happy game. The issue of women priests

In this post I take, make changes, my work on a public forum which addressed the issue of women priests by an evangelical point of view only, analyzing those passages in which Jesus was handed down against or in favor of the priesthood as a religious institution is well established in the first-century Palestine. This analysis is necessary because by many Christians is postulated the prohibition of women, required nothing less than Jesus, from priestly ordination! In reality, this requirement has no scriptural basis, except in those few passages from letters Pauline pseudopaoline and that, as I will try to document, do not prove anything except that Saul on the issue of gender equality was a bit too puritanical and 'back, not since the days he lived in, but compared to the Gospel itself.

steps aside extrapolated from the Letters of the "School of Paul," we consider only those related to genuine letters, which are: Letter to the Galatians, 1 and 2 Corinthians, Letter to the Philippians and Romans.
begin with an invitation to read the writings of Paul with a spirit free from critical and apologetic intent, because such statements as "the concepts of Paul all reside in the ancient Testament "means nothing less than to misunderstand the Pauline theology and Christology. Paul, writing to the Romans, says, "you are no longer subject to the law, but to grace" (Romans 6:14), and Galatians, "... the works of the law shall not be justified" (Gal. 2, 16), or "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, he having made a curse for us ..." (Gal. 3, 13).

There is only one step in the entire New Testament in which Jesus says (or an author's New Testament does say) the exclusion of women from the priesthood. It makes no sense to lean against the tradition of the Church to endorse a belief, a dogma that is based on practices that took off from the third century (and then three centuries after Jesus), since it is now accepted by all scholars and the more progressive Christians themselves that much of the tradition of the Church dates back the Gospel, and indeed in many ways incompatible with it.
Jesus would never have ordered such a precept for a number of reasons:

1. He has never created any male priesthood as opposed to the priestly class of the temple of Jerusalem, as did the Essenes of Qumran, where the temple priests were impure, then illegal. Even the stracitato group of "Twelve Apostles ", considered the model of the church hierarchy, it seems there has never been in the priestly vestment that was ascribed to the rear, the only one to mention the word Apostolos (in greek" the one that goes on, before ') as the title of "Twelve," in Luke is Luke. 6.13 and that title has no religious connotation. The apostles were the ones that preceded Jesus in the villages where he preached the good news. The fact that Jesus has entrusted only to men the message of Good News in the villages of Palestine is simply explained by a practical reason: for women at that time was dangerous to travel miles of road by itself, could be attacked at any time, also, the Jews, very traditional in terms of teaching, would never accept the preaching of a female person. Nevertheless, Jesus encouraged women to convey the good news, ears for a real change in social mores and a breach of the taboo imposed by tradition, which was first starting his faithful disciples. If his disciples after his death, have not been able to go beyond the traditional means that have implemented 100% the message of their master.

2. Jesus never set up a clergy as it has been gradually established in the first three centuries of the Christian era. When, in Mt from 6.5 to 6 states that "when you pray do not be like the hypocrites who love to pray standing in synagogues and at street corners to be noticed by men ... But thou, when you pray, go into your room and , shut the door, pray to thy Father which is in secret ... "does nothing but reveal the same passing of the priesthood as a sacred institution tied to a place of worship. For Jesus there is no need of the figure of the priest, understood as a mediator between God and the common man's prayer, the high point of communication between man and his Creator, can be direct and not mediated by 'intercession of the priest, charge of the administration of the cult. Nothing was more radical than this in his ad.

3. It follows that if Jesus never talked about women priests or, even less, of male priesthood, it is because he has never crossed my mind to create one, and that the issue of admission / exclusion of women from the priesthood is not placed at all for the Son of God The reason for this apparent "indifference" is very easy to be found in the Gospels:

"Believe me woman, now is the time when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem worship the Father. You worship what you do not know, we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews. But the time comes, even now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth . "(Matthew 21-24).

lapidary sentence that "The unmarried man is anxious about the affairs of the Lord, how he may please the Lord, but the married man is anxious about the things of the world, how he may please his wife (I Cor. 7.32) have provided Church to the theological argument for justifying the creation of celibacy with the fact that the unmarried have more time to devote to God
Sure, you can not expect that the thought of a jew, Paul of Tarsus from the diaspora, who lived in the century. AD, with the religious ideas a bit 'confused, and in addition in accordance with the smell of deceit the emissaries of James, is consistent in the field of gender equality to that of the Son of God, which for Catholics is the second person of the Trinity. But it remains the claim, by some, ignorant of the Gospel - the real one preached by Jesus - that the thought of Saul of Tarsus descend directly from the alleged provisions that would have given Jesus to his disciples, or even resulting from a personal revelation that Christ would be devoted to Paul, this, with all due respect to believers of the Catholic confession, it seems a nonsense that in addition to offend common sense, also offends God Unless you consider Saul of Tarsus as infallible as the former prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith ...

Anyway, back to more serious things than the infallibility of the Vicar of Christ, the point is not the historical context of certain precepts Pauline called into question by some to interpret correctly some ambiguous passages of his letters. The point is taken as an article of faith all that Saul had given to the communities founded by him in the first century AD is equivalent to distort the Gospel in some of its most innovative and revolutionary, those that explicitly break not only with the Jewish tradition and, specifically, with the Law, but also with all the cultural systems steeped in misogyny and discrimination of the 'other', where "other" means all those marginalized in the ancient world: women, slaves, barbarians, lepers, mentally ill, prostitutes, etc.. E 'Paul of Tarsus who commands his followers, in one of his flights of fancy more negative "... not to have relationships with those who bear the name of his brother, was fornicator or drunkard, thief, slanderer, greedy, idolater. With people like you do not even take food together "(1 Cor. 5.11). I do not know that Jesus never avoided frequent misunderstandings, and indeed often gave scandal eating with "publicans and sinners," so as to arouse the disapproval of his closest disciples of the Pharisees legalistic aversion. Jesus replied to criticism of his opponents that "the doctor came for the sick, not the healthy" and that "the publicans and prostitutes will precede the kingdom of heaven."

At this point a question arises: is fine that Paul most likely has never met Jesus during his earthly life, but then, as the Gospel has ever received? Certainly not the one preached by Jesus! In some of his attitudes Paul still seems very attached to Pharisaic tradition rather than inspired by the good news. More than a impostor is the figure of schizophrenic : first writes that "you are all one in Christ Jesus" then preaches social isolation for the "different", and more for the "brothers" different, that is, those who belong to the community Christian! I do not think Saul follow the letter of the most important commandment given by Jesus: Love your neighbor as yourself. Yet the commandment Jesus has put into practice in all its actions until the crucifixion. When you are sandwiched between adultery and stoning him, the risk of being stoned, or when he healed the lepers that fell on the social segregation imposed by Leviticus, or when he discussed with the Samaritan woman, a woman and more heretical, and entrusted the announcement of the coming of the Messiah in his village, he certainly did the Father's will, not the will of Saul.
So I can understand the concern of Catholics to defend the reputation of Saul by the attacks of his dettratori. But I can not pretend that in the authentic letters of Saul there are inconsistencies and incompatibilities than the announcement of the Nazarene. Highlighting does not mean worse or do not contextualize the anti-Catholic propaganda.

That said, the battle continued for many women to obtain the opening of celibacy to the female sex does not see me as a participant in I am convinced, and this is supported by many passages of Scripture, that Jesus' intention was not to build on new foundations, a new priestly class in contrast to the Sadducees who referred to the temple, but on the contrary, to abolish altogether. For him, in fact, the house of the Lord was not a stone building but - and in this he was truly revolutionary - the temple was replaced with the his body, that is, with constantly putting his words into practice .

Ways Of Congratulating Pregnancy

Lc. 18, 10-14: Scàndalon and Agape

The Pharisee and the Publican

In this parable is the theme of justification and, more generally, the issue of relationship with others. In the collective Jewish
the Pharisee represents purity observance of moral law and transparency, the public, by contrast, the morally compromised by the exercise of a profession unholy and impure. This is the classic confrontation focused on the purity / impurity governing the relations between members of the Jewish community in Jesus' time any religious system of sustaining life creates duality, good / evil, pure / impure, circumcised / uncircumcised etc., and Israel is no exception to this rule, indeed, Israel is founded on duality and separation.

There is a beautiful essay, always topical, social anthropologist Mary Douglas , Purity and Danger , in which to question the ancestral fear of dissolving the specificity of biblical Israel as chosen people. The obsession with the Jews for ritual purity and differentiation resulting in the formation of Leviticus, that system of legal requirements so restrictive fanatically idolized by the Jews shared by Jesus as it was considered unnecessary for the preparation of the Kingdom of heaven.

What differentiates the figure of the Pharisee than the Publican is not his position towards the law and to God, but the location to the next: the first shows to have a dismissive attitude and superior to public sinners, the other , aware of his shortcomings, will humble themselves and ask God's forgiveness, it is considered the last of the last.
The Pharisee is the epitome of skandalon , the public penance of the quintessential ' · ga'pe , love of neighbor.

I make a brief digression on the meaning of the Greek word skandalon . skandalon is generally translated as "scandal", "trap", "trap" placed along the path. The word and the derived verb skandalizo, "causing scandal," are the root Skazi, meaning "lame." In the Gospels we are a group of texts centered on the notion of skandalon and under which the only plausible meaning of scandal is as follows: alienation from oneself, the temptation that moves the disciple of Christ from the kingdom of heaven and therefore the opposite of love in the Christian sense, "Whoever loves his brother lives in the light and in him there is no scandal. But who hates his brother lives and walk in darkness, and does not know where he is going because the darkness has blinded his eyes. " (1 John 2: 10-11). What then is the
skandalon quite human in the sense of human error, it reveals another fundamental text of the Gospel, Matthew 16, 22-23, in which Peter reacts shocked the announcement by Jesus, the passion, "Peter, trattolo him, began to rebuke him, saying: "God forbid, Lord! No, this never happen to you! "But he turned and said to Peter, 'Go away from me, Satan! You are my obstacle, because your thoughts are not those of God, but those of men. " Although Jesus instructs his disciples on the nature of skandalon (John 16.1 "I have said these things to protect from scandal"), Peter is shocked by the revelation of the passion, because for him the passion that can not be a scandal, like the Pharisee perfectionist is scandalized by the presence in the Temple publish the hardened sinner. The

skandalon , we said, is the negation of agape . In the episode of the Pharisee and the publican is the exemplification of the judge who tries to escape the view that expresses on the other: "Do not judge, lest you be judged, because with the trial judge with whom you will be judged, and with the measure which will be measured measured. Why look at the speck in your brother, but you can not see the plank in your own eye? "(Mt. 7.1 to 3). This text shows very well how controversial they are always the hypocrites, the "lame," those who believe they get away with exposing the hypocrisy of others. With the skandalon perpetuated endlessly spiraling double : fair / unfair, according to the law / profane, and for this reason that Jesus seeks to break the circularity of the dualisms enshrined in the Act (which, again, today in religious institutions like the Catholic Church), to the point of putting himself outside the community and to be put to death as a blasphemer?

Or is it not true that the Church bases its existence on the duality clergy / base of the faithful? The church hierarchy is considered a rung above the common believers. And here is the symbolism of the pyramid : down offenders, the profane, the sinners, above the spiritual elite, the clergy impeccable, infallible, untouchable.

Holders of clerical power should draw the following lessons from this parable: the over-confidence in his own immortality (in the infallibility and arbitrarily assigned to the vicar of Christ) apodictically postulated, is not a justification before God This idea, in fact, as stated in the opening words of the parable (told this parable to some who assumed to be righteous and despised others "), is nothing less than a presumption, since the ' only truth and that man, beyond the faith and personal actions, is a sinner and that the true dichotomy is not between sinners and sinners, but rather between sinners are not justified (category represented by the Pharisee presumptuous) and sinners justified . The dividing line between the two categories human types is the acceptance of their condition before God as a sinner, according to the famous reversal of values: "Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."
Infallibility and the Christian faith can not coexist, because one is the negation of the other, the rise in the chair is opposed to giving service to others. In fact, the Old Testament skandalon , the stumbling block for excellence, is the ' idolatry, that despite popular belief, is not only the worship of idols, but worship of self-sufficiency of its ego or, conversely, worship of the satanic power (cf. Mt 4, 6-10), the power that opposes God, He denies it and replace it. Satan is not only the prince of this world dominated by selfishness and violence, but also the prince of disorder, the scandal that arose ever across on our way to thwart our efforts toward the kingdom of heaven.

You can not shut up the scandal for the Jewish society of that time was the Sermon on the Mount, the Beatitudes that by overthrowing the existing order, announcing the coming of the Kingdom of God and Jesus were both a danger a subversive who had placed outside the group, to remove as soon as possible? (Cf. Lk. 4.28 to 30). Oh yes, because he was not a Messiah by the powerful, of the establishment politico-religious gave scandal, the same way today for the Vatican is a cause for scandal that some believers will not submit to his authority, the Catechism of the death of Christianity and consciousness. Recently, there was a news item that has caused uproar in the Vatican hierarchy, a dangerous precedent to be sealed, a young girl during a catechism lesson banner of homophobia, dared to challenge the bishop, who had just finished to educate those present on the need to keep gays out of the Church, saying openly that you think " is not right." All hell broke loose: the anti-Christian bishop has been silenced by giving the girl the "silly", parents were asked to keep an eye on the girl and the other comrades who have defense, actually a real diplomatic incident. I do have a question, and there I can to you: Who do you think has more scandal (in the sense of alienation from the love explained above), the girl or the bishop intolerant?

Colon Cancer Undigested Food

We All Saints!

Saturday, August 11 the daily La Stampa has published an interview with Vittorio Messori , the Messiah of the grid cattoconservatore journalists, as well as flagship publications Vatican's most fiercely extremist on hot topics such as PACS, abortion etc..
The content of this interview is nothing short of scandalous, bundled up as the prejudices and stereotypes made in Vatican, however, taken to extremes dell'autoassoluzione than pedophilia in cassock. In short, the usual interview-rejection at the terminus of a Catholic intellectual, whose efforts, despite the aging and the derivative intellectual mold, do not cease to pour on the pages of national newspapers that serve as the caste clericoltranzista stool and the train of political baciapile, Apples and Sircana in the front row.

analyze, therefore, the depth of the duct Vatican.

Our pennivendolo begins with a sentence of shock, than to frame a future memory of the shambles of this country's intellectual Paraculo.

"A man of the Church does good and sometimes fall into temptation? So what? If so for Don Pierino Gelmini, if every time he touched some of these guys, but boy he had saved thousands, and then ?

So tell me, dear popularizer of the good news of impunity and the jackals!

First. Vittorio from Sassuolo believes that faith is a penalty point: a point of doing charity here, a point beyond any saving from self-doped ... and then acquires a bonus "to pedophilia .... Then it matters little if the public image of the savior of the moment, as Don Gelmini , both from the private ... slightly differ from these matters is the public respectability, acclaim of the masses and media coverage. Now, I wonder - I did not even ask really, because Messori is not a fool - if Messori from Sassuolo is aware of intrepid companies archangel Gelmini. His hagiography is full of twists worthy of a celebrity, of persecution by the judiciary, of slander and provocation ... a true precursor of nano Arcore clerical sauce ... that coupled with reflectors! To hagiographic commentary: pluripregiudicato (arrested three times, the first of fraudulent bankruptcy, the second extradited to Italy from South Vietnam, for having defrauded the widow of President Diem, the third for corruption), arcifamoso for his harmless "temptations" ( so harmless that the prison where he is serving a sentence of four years often kept him in solitary confinement for not taking the risk that put their hands on the other prisoners), Nawab of a thousand and one night (in the seventies turned to Rome with a Jaguar and was owner of several companies in Latin America). A true saint before his time! According

. Messori probably is not in full possession of his mental faculties (the Vatican should commission a psychiatric report), if boldly claims that the harassment suffered by some drogatello worth all the lives that Gelmini has saved over the years. What's more, what harm would be to sexually molest children already disadvantaged and mentally unstable? Nothing! Should we kiss their elbows for the good that Don Gelmini has done to society and do not spit judgments radical passerby just because the redeemer of drug addicts is given to some peccadillo. Basically

"These stories are the recognition of human weakness that is part of the greatness of the Gospel. Jesus says he has not come for the healthy but for sinners. "

Unfortunately Messori, it is believed that a great communicator of the Gospel, misunderstood texts that condemn the sin of pedophilia, putting even murder.
Here is the passage: "Who scandalize one of these little ones which believe in me, it's better for him that is tied a millstone around his neck and fell on his sea" (Mt. 9.42). Got it, Victor? For criminals who harm the young, the defenseless, like junkies don Gelmini, Jesus calls for suicide, or the cutting off of hands, just to stay on the subject of "prohibited touching". And then, shut the Gospel of exploit for your vulgar moral standards! It 's true that Jesus came for the sick, but it is equally true that he condemned sin against the person. When he met with the sinners, not condemning them but invited them to repent and sin no more! Faith is not a prize collection, is a radical adherence to the Gospel , this becomes even more odious hypocrisy with which the Pharisees of today pontificating on the moral conduct of other ad hoc inventing new sins (like homosexuality ) and then in the private giving to the excesses and "deviance."

Thirdly, how dare the Messori to equate homosexuality and pedophilia, characterizing both as sexual deviancy? Perhaps does not know the difference between abuse and consent? Homosexuality is a relationship between two individuals (not age) will. Pedophilia is a violence instead of an individual to another individual does not consent. Come on, we want to go Neanderthal era, once and for all?

"And 'the realism of the Church: there are those who do not know to stop before the spaghetti amatriciana, if you can not avoid making the whore and who, without having sought him, he drives homosexuals. And then on what basis the human justice sanctifies demonize pedophilia and homosexuality? "

Based on the concept of good and evil, which completely escapes Messori, he Death is the "divine" common sinners, and the redeemer of pedophiles that are also good. Expose the concept better. If I eat a platter of spaghetti amatriciana or a bowl of ice cream do not hurt anybody, except maybe to myself because the food swallowed is high in fat and sugar that are not just good for my body. Take the case of Apple and his night of madness: the fact that Apple has spent a night with two rings, unbeknownst to the family, should not be a cause of scandal to the public (in fact which are quanro privacy Member of Parliament), but the fact that the drug has passed the girls and then failed to rescue one of them, but this falls within the concept of evil, because that gesture reckless Mele has endangered the life of a person. Anyone can have a personal vision of sin, and consider homosexuality as frequenting prostitutes and a sinful act, but must separate the concept of sin from that of Evil. If the charges against Don Gelmini prove unfounded, he would not only have committed a sin in the Christian sense, but would have harmed people, therefore, should be pursued by human justice. It seems so elementary a concept to understand, that there can only Vittorio Messori, a demonstration of his intellectual poverty , As well as its bad faith as a Christian .

Our continued: "The Church has always known that seminaries and monasteries attract homosexuals. Before he was very careful to place barriers and supervise the training. Who showed gay tendencies were put out. Then no discrimination has allowed the entry into force of homosexuals and the Church now pays quell'imprudenza.

You read that right? Homosexuals are at the root of preto-pedophilia. Of course! Messori not know, or pretends not to know that the basic input in the workshops of the boys is not morally irreproachable decline in vocations, so it was necessary to fill vacancies with people with mental illness. As the Marine Corps, the Church is not so much for the subtle in terms of followers.
to say: "Better a church with a pedophile priest without a shepherd." But homosexuality has nothing to do! Homosexuality is not synonymous with pedophile. Since the actual problem is the temptation, the "disordered sexuality", why not prevent entry into the workshops to those who show heterosexual tendencies? The child sex abuse of girls and even young girls. Or why not make the preventive castration? Or better yet, why not give candidates priests a normal sexual life, and those who persist in sexual disorders excommunication and the court complaint Messori ... but why is not ejected from the register of journalists for the atrocities he says, proving he does not understand poker emerita of psychology and sociology and, much more serious, as Christian is lacking the gift of mercy? Why not start to take drugs, and to be accommodated by the community of Don Gelmini, so it can receive the charitable collection of Don and experience the holiness, since, as he claims, " holiness is absolutely compatible with a sexually disordered life ?

And who do you say I am?

hermeneutic study of Mc. 8.27

If there is a definition of faith which may converge on the thought of the vast majority of Christians belonging to various denominations, is that each of us gives a personal response the faith and the place it occupies in their lives. If you could represent the faith with a real picture, look like men and women on their journey, a path strewn with obstacles, sure, but also of questions along the way for disciples of Christ. I personally conceive of faith as a movement from and into something that in the path of life is often the meetings, sometimes pleasant, sometimes not pleasant, and that these meetings is strengthened or weakened, enriched or impoverished and so on.
Even Jesus' disciples were men on the move, searching for answers are not always immediate and obvious. One of the songs in which one sees this research is its incessant Mc. 8.27, where Jesus asks his disciples, first in the outer voices in its wake that turned around his person and his work, then making the same question to his disciples. This is one of the few contexts in the Gospel where Jesus asked his disciples a question that concerns himself. Why is it that Jesus calls his disciples to question him or her? What is the meaning of such an invitation? What response is expected Jesus to the disciples and, above all, and there exists today a clear answer and dogmatic?
Who is Jesus of Nazareth? For Orthodox Christians the Son of God, a Jewish rabbi and a context of traditional structures of their religion, atheists for a man than a religious renewal, for the followers of a New Age guru and started etc.. From this little discussion we can determine that there are many images of Jesus and that these can not be reduced to a variation of that theme, a Christology valid for every man and every context.

Over the centuries Christians have responded in different ways To the question set by Jesus: Many of these responses were won by history (Marcion, Cathars, Gnosticism, etc..), while others, with the benefit of history, have acquired great prestige and are now an integral and indispensable part of the common heritage and of supraconfessional millions of Christians. Think of the divinity of Jesus, apart from some minority beliefs like Jehovah's Witnesses, has become dogma that Jesus has a dual nature, divine and human, which are included in one person. These acquisitions are the product of much heated debate and received the chrism of dogmas only from the fourth century AD through the Councils of Nicea, Ephesus and Chalcedon (V sec.), And in any case are not never been unanimously accepted by all Christendom, as demonstrated by the fact that pockets of Christianity "others" still survive in Europe until the Middle Ages.
What I wish to discuss here is not the history of Christian dogma, but the results dogmatic of theological reflection that, starting from enigmatic that question posed by Jesus, today as never before is no longer as free research, but more and more like ancilla doctrinae , and how endorsement of traditions that human origin and for which claims a divine origin evangelical or otherwise.

It should first make an analysis etymology of the word "dogma " in search of semantic shifts that the term may have suffered over the centuries, to be precise since the Council of Nicaea. The word "dogma" comes from the greek word Doke, who holds the different meanings to reflect , think , express an opinion, decide (but not requiring the latter sense political / military). "Dogma" originally had no doctrinal nor tax cut, took the meaning of the truths of faith only later, in the religious Christian, during the Council of Nicaea , when the Emperor Constantine decided, against the advice of a not insignificant against some of bishops and Christian minorities such as Arianism, which disputes were to be turned off with blows of dogma to which all Christendom would have to comply, or face 'exclusion of bishops from the privileges granted by the emperor.
There is no doubt that the dogmatization of Christianity and its subsequent removal at the level of adhesion to the Gospel and incisiveness on this plan, rooted in ecumenical councils and imperial interests in the merger of church and interests . Few Christians realize that the catastrophic events such as Nicea Chalcedon or had in the lives of millions of Christians and the damage that the harnessing of Jesus and his message in the formulation of dogma has caused and still causes today.

If today we can claim Jesus as a open event, not as an ontological category to narrow the definition is absolute, we owe to the courage of theologians who have struggled for recognition within the Church of the pluralist principle, although there are those who, like Ratzinger, that freedom would suffocate. He represents, in my humble opinion, the death of theology: his latest book confirms his theological amateurism. Ratzinger does theology, apologetics ago.
The death of Christian theology began with the assumption by the church fathers, the categories of Greek philosophy, especially the Platonic (see the dichotomy of body / spirit, etc..) And that of Aristotle.
Jesus by proclaiming the Kingdom of heaven to pass abstract speculation about the nature of which is built dogmatic and theological discourse, like a physical law or a chemical formula. Jesus the Jewish messiah is passed to a spiritual being idolized and mythologized, and his message, the one from which you should build theological reflection, cans, like an accessory that we can leave easily. This Jesus apodictically built on the basis of formulas and definitions is irrefutable, ultimately, a Jesus depersonalized, dehumanized and dehumanizing is a Jesus out of history that does not advertise, does not feel emotions, do not cry, do not rejoice with the subjects of history .

The New Testament is so faithful witness and, in most cases, the eye of life and action of Jesus of Nazareth, but first of all interpretation, subjective reconstruction of a historical event. The evangelists are not historical, are performers, and their interpretation is the result of the fourfold gospel, an expression of faith Christology and the community far apart in time and space. Any line of argument that borders on idolatry of the Bible in favor of their sect they belong, is a symptom of fundamentalism and, above all, rejects the New Testament canon of the same organization that is not reduced to a monolinguaggio, a monoteologia and a monocristologia . Jesus demystify the oral Torah, ie the self-righteous precepts which reduced the faith to comply with obsessive rules and prohibitions that governed the life of the faithful in all its facets. Why, we, today, we idolize the New Testament with the aim of extrapolating the dogmas that authenticate our beliefs that particularistic? Mind you that this is not a criticism of the Catholic Church alone that has made its existence a dogma steel, but to all Christians who believe the practice refer to the dogmatic systems.

The Church tends to confuse faith and doctrine, theological research, regulatory and doctrinal content. With a view of the primacy of on faith tradition, it would impose a theology to the faithful in every respect corresponding to the doctrine professed (even when relevant points of it have no connection with what Jesus preached and as the former Christians have practiced) in the name of the character transtemporal of that doctrine. But the Church, like all the earthly institutions is not an unconditional and unchanging entity, outside and above time and history. In 2000 years it has undergone evolution and involution, doctrinal and institutional changes, adjustments and real estate. If we take into consideration only 10% of the material on which dogmatic Catholic teaching, would find that over the centuries it has met with changes of all kinds.

Finally, one last mention of hermeneutics. The last two decades
hermeneutic methodology has been attacked by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. The theological freedom is now limited by the state of theology and the theologian in the Church issued by the Vatican as an instrument of control and supervision of the theological within the Catholic Church. While the Church has every right to voice their theological line officer, the other does not have the right to freedom of theological research to coincide with his teaching of the Church.
hermeneutics makes use of the contribution of social science analytical, as one of its principles, methodologies and understanding of the biblical text from the context, environment and culture that produced it. The use of hermeneutics in the context of exegetical studies also implies a strong political and social commitment. It therefore represents a new form of understanding the Christian faith. Avant-garde in the application of hermeneutic method to biblical exegesis was R. Bultmann with his formulation of the duality between the Christ of faith and the Jesus of history. The Vatican hierarchy
argue that hermeneutics operates a modernization antitraditional forms the figure of Jesus, a dangerous projection that tries to remove faith from theological reflection and to delegitimize the tradition and the Magisterium of the Church.
But the starting point of theological reflection should be a living faith in daily life, not formulas of Nicaea and Chalcedon. The formulas and dogmas are attempting to translate human language into an object, the faith, which falls under the transcendental being, and that comes not from the dogmatic formula, but from the experience of the believer. This translation "language" of faith can not transcend and encompass all the experiences of faith and can not represent something that is objectively declines subjectively and in particular, millions of believers.
The crowd that followed Jesus believed in Him because Jesus during his ministry had instructed them on his dual human and divine nature, or the concept of the Trinity and other theological sophistry. People believed in him because he had recognized the mediator of the Kingdom of God : miracles, spoke as one who had authority (and not as the scribes), it was unheard discourse, never heard before, which offended the hard-hearted but fascinated by the pure of heart and who had nothing to lose as prostitutes and tax collectors, the dregs of Palestine.
The error that the Church is to proclaim Christ out of history a . It's the presumption that you have answered once and for all the fateful question, "And you, who do you think I am?", And they have nothing to learn from the experience of faith. Christ preached by the Church is therefore nothing more and nothing less than a idol, a deity whose essence must be defined with great precision and woe to those who, like the modernist theologians dare to go beyond formulas council! But what is to submit meekly to the doctrine if he does not "experience" the Christ in history, if we surrender, we modern men, to follow, as did the tax collector Levi Matthew? It is heresy to reject a truth of faith or violating one of the teachings of Jesus? The Christian should not have priority, and if so on what to prioritize? Sterile observance of rites and sacraments and the belief in the truth of faith that people do not understand (passive faith) or the construction of the Kingdom of Heaven (active faith)?

Invisible Children

Herculaneum. They were arrested by police in Portsmouth, a husband and wife Roma, Romanians domiciled in the gypsy camp of Herculaneum, which will soon be displaced. The couple Asan Tudor, and Ioan Alexandrina, both 43-year old, forced their children, a boy and a girl, 14 and 11 years, to beg from passers-by and public places of Portici. The two children were also forced to rummage in the garbage bins.
As if all this were not enough father, to attract the attention of passers-by pretended disability, making push the child on a wheelchair. During the operation
the police have seized 600 € considered and the gain of the wheelchair.
The two arrested are now in Poggioreale and Pozzuoli, while the children were assigned to social services of Portici.
This leads us to reflect on how complicated the question of the Roma. Evict them from the scope of Herculaneum is the easiest solution, but not necessarily be the right one. in doing so there only wash their hands, hoping that someone else deal with it. In the meantime, however, that "we are passing the buck" to others, those children will always be exploited and forced into begging, and should only think about playing and going to school. So we always wash our hands?

Italian Wedding Wording

With this post I open a new book, "hermeneutics of the Gospel," which will allow me to achieve the following objectives, which correspond to as many different needs:

1) The first objective is This section aims of the blog is the application of the Gospel exegetical practice outside the traditional mold , the groove already outlined by feminist and liberation theology, which is a theology which builds primarily on the daily life of the believer and not slavishly to a uniform doctrine stuffed in obscurity and sophistry, a doctrine that hold water the parties and that makes us feel the God in whom we believe far and indifferent to humanity.
2) The premise of the above should not be construed as a restatement in a personal experience of feminist theology and theologians in Latin America. Despite consider feminist theology of liberation and the pride of the Catholic theological reflection, and although it is inescapably suggest, given the validity of both assumptions and the contribution in terms of freshness and innovation, they are bearers in a landscape dominated by theological cattotradizionalismo, I will try, wherever possible, to develop a hermeneutics on a subjective basis, according to my sensibilities as a non-sectarian and dogmatic believer, at the same time applying a methodology that has as its reference point the pluralist principle, that from that theology has emerged and received the chrism of legitimacy.
3) The third objective of this research with hermeneutics requires me to make, is to regain position, charisma and authority to a strong reflection female increasingly marginalized by a Church misogynist, self-referential and exclusive . The aspiration to regain ground in the history (or carve out their own space to those who believe that women do not have ever had in Christianity), you can actually translate in different ways, by claiming leadership roles within the Church institutions to defend their self-determination in relation to choices that affect the body (like abortion), or your way of being and thinking faith, or all'intaccare the monopoly of interpretation of sacred texts. One way, in my opinion very effective to remove the male monopoly on theological exegesis on scripture, is to challenge the holders of this monopoly on their own ground, which is what the New Testament exegesis and theological discourse on it constructs, and undermines the basis on those bases which is based on a unique interpretation of the Gospel, consistent with Catholic teaching and thus to invalidate the same.
4) A fourth objective, no less important than the others, is to define a liberating Christology, meaning a vision of Jesus and his message fits into a liberation from the fetters of dogmatism and the doctrinal tethers marketed as absolute truths by the Church, which in fact stifle the free expression of theological believer. As is well known, in fact, the Church teaches that outside it and outside unconditional accession to his teachings there is no salvation for the faithful, who stands with a negative attitude or even critical of the Catholic doctrine is condemned to eternal damnation. It is not only an intolerant attitude that discriminates against a good percentage of the inhabitants of this planet (which is not Catholic), an attitude that seeks to kill the freedom of theological expression both within and outside the Church. If the Second Vatican Council had opened the chinks in the direction of ecumenism and interfaith dialogue, from the rise of John Paul II has set an unstoppable trend to the restoration and indoctrination on the basis of conservative people of faith, it has unleashed an organism, the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, which has imposed a devotional faith and depersonalized, as opposed to a mature faith, outside of the consciousness of the believer. Modern Inquisition has claimed victims in those places and especially in those situations where the ecclesiastical influence of the Church was less strong and where there was therefore still room for theological elaborations are not aligned. Pluralism was then superseded by the approval theological through the scarecrow represented by the prefect Ratzinger.
5) The definition of theology as a plurality of voices, sensitivity and charisma in a context of recognition and appreciation of all the positions, is also another essential goal, and at this point to be made a consideration not wholly predictable. Any theological discourse is limited by its very nature, subjective, fallible and even exceeded, that is open to changes and to stimuli arising from the dialogue and also a comparison on. That said, is to reject any claim to infallibility, it is claimed by the Church hierarchy or individuals. One of the few achievements of medieval theology is the concept of God as an entity omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient. L ' omniscience is an attribute belonging only to the Trinity or the divine being, (for Christians who believe in this dogma), then any theological thought, a product of human reflection, reflect the narrowness and imperfection that characterizes the human being is not in any way be cloaked in a robe of absoluteness and infallibility. Moreover, the history of Christianity teaches us that the errors that ecclesiastical institutions have committed in the name of infallibility, are simply further confirmation of the above expressed.
6) The definition of theology as a movement , evolution, in accordance with what Jesus says in John. 3.8: "The wind blows where it wants: you hear the sound, but do not know where it is not, nor where it goes, so is everyone born of the Spirit. " Again we can help the history of Christianity as a doctrine, how many erroneous teachings, which, until recently, were regarded as revealed truth, have been corrected or abandoned? We think the belief in the existence of Hell or the geocentric theory disproved by Copernicus and Galileo! Is not that true to its roots in the Christian movement was crushed, and current community often disagree or even in competition with each other? We think the hostility between the Judaeo-Christians led by James the Just and the Pauline communities and their different interpretation of the Christological faith and its place within Judaism, and already a few years after the death of Jesus theological differences emerged between the various groups that they call for him and his preaching and claiming leadership in the nascent Christian movement. But beyond the partisan interests and often for nothing noble origins of these communities evolved a Christology and theology from its socio-economic and religious reference, so each sponsor the "Jesus" is how the Jesus of the followers of James appeared with appearance Judaizers, Paul's Jesus as a savior by similar traits to the gods of pagan religions of Asia minor, the followers of Jesus of John as a detector, the incarnate Logos, etc.. If, therefore, have now appeared, in all its creative wealth, a theological pluralism is the core of which, despite a thousand words, was the faith in Christ, his death and resurrection, because today, after two thousand years, the Church, which calls itself the sole repository of the apostolic tradition, requires a blind and mindless obedience to their doctrine? Why require a doctrinal approval even if the apostles, let alone Peter, the first pope according to the catechism, had clear ideas on doctrinal and, above all, despite all of them pulling water to your mill, not never aspired to develop a bit of doctrine binding on all believers in Christ and even claims to impose its ideas to other communities, as evidenced by the compromise reached between Paul and the Antioch community Petrine (Peter where he demonstrated a sense of realism to do envy the current pope)? Catholic doctrine is not the same product of the convergence of theological positions initially antithetical, as shown by the composition of the canon of the New Testament, where coexist theology and Christology deeply discordant expression of the faith community of autonomous and often self-referential?
7) Finally, is the same Gospel which invites us to question Jesus of Nazareth, its mission and its significance: "But you asked them, who do you say I am?" (Matt. 16:15). Then, as is clear from the different responses that the disciples give To the question posed by Jesus, what matters is not the right answer, as required by the Church, but constantly questioning, searching for the meaning behind the life and death of a man who changed the course of history, and each of us can not do it from an abstract faith, but by a faith that is expressed in difficulties and experiences that life holds for us.
E 'so right on the basis of these arguments will undertake this journey of discovery of the New Testament and its theological diversity, hoping to do a good job and offer new insights to the readers of this little blog.
Happy reading!

Signs A Seizure Is Coming

Hutu and Tutsi: Brothers or enemies? The false

from the movie Hotel Rwanda.
In April 1994 the Italian newspapers, but also to foreigners, might well little relevance to what was happening in Rwanda, a small Central African state, that within less than three months was swept by one of the most brutal slaughters of human history, consumed in total disregard of the international community, who had left to same in the aftermath of the assassination of its president, making him fall into a nightmare. This is the crux of the film that recalls an episode stored and forgotten by the collective consciousness. A page of history shamefully hushed up and removed to be concerned because it was a small country with no wealth and therefore irrelevant to those who hold the fate of political and economic world. Brought to light through the story of a man who in the midst of chaos and hell in which his country had fallen, he managed to keep my head and to rescue his family and more than a thousand fellow citizens.
The cinema is also used to this, ordinary people who want to steal anonymity in exceptional situations reveal themselves heroes.
And the character of Paul Rusesabagina is, fighting, or rather, trying to heal that split the country, his country, which had provoked hatred.
The film makes a clear idea of \u200b\u200bthis split: on the one hand, the incessant radio propaganda of incitement to hatred built on slander, the accusation, the suspicion of the close of home, work colleague, the relative, the other the daily life of those Hutu and Tutsi that instead attended, worked side by side, middle class neighborhood, they were friends, fell in love, get married, they were children together.
It happened in Africa, but it happened and is happening elsewhere, according to a script that painful history has made too many times on stage. Are always the same excuses to kindle conflicts: a different religious belief, the struggle of a land border, the demand for ethnic and racial superiority through a different skin color or even the facial features.

Hutus and Tutsis have always lived in harmony, the first farmers, aristocrats the second, one belonged to a role of government, the other ritual prerogatives.
day when the settlers arrived, the first German and then Belgian, to break this balance. Indeed, the latter to strengthen their rule, applying the principle of "divide and conquer". The Germans chose the then Tutsi as interlocutors (their bodies slender and lighter skin made them in the eyes of Europeans, more intelligent than the Hutu markedly Negroid traits). Due it, so, in all the privileges, not only that, but they were also encouraged to take advantage of the Hutu. The latter were, however, deprived of their ritual functions.
Thus was born the irreparable rift in society Hutu-Tutsi would have led to the slaughter.
To enforce this, the colonists created their identity cards in which each individual is classified as Tutsi or Hutu, depending on the number of cattle he possessed, in the absence of bases on which to base racial discrimination, since no physical distinction was sufficient.
The years go by, the Germans, defeated in World War I, they are forced to surrender the colony to the Belgians. From the frying pan into the fire. Things have not changed for the people of Rwanda, on the contrary, new settlers tried to maintain and enhance the division.
The thrill of freedom of the 50s invaded Africa and this land.
too "helpful" Tutsi, instead of remaining "loyal" to power, they organize to gain independence. Seeing so betrayed, settlers link on the Hutu, less organized and educated, pitted against the Tutsi.
Independence came in 1962, peace is still far away. The massacres continue, many Tutsi were forced to leave the country.
in 1973 with a coup, the army chief Habyarimana took power.
He behaves like a true dictator was surrounded by his ministers and military from the region and prohibits any kind of opposition, the only party permitted is the National Revolutionary Movement formed along ethnic and social. In this climate
strengthens the resistance Tutsi, Hutu groups to which are added to the intolerant regime.
action growing illegal opposition groups, the threat of the majority Tutsi Rwandan Patriotic Front that operated in Uganda and the constant pressure of some Western countries, led Habyarimana to yield to a peace agreement with the opposition , which would have led to the democratization of the country.
April 6, 1994, the Kigali airport, a plane is shot down.
and the plane carrying Habyarimana, the President of Burundi, Ntaryanira, and other government officials.
do not know who was the principal. Probably they were the allies of Habyarimana want to die. Were at stake, too many privileges, rather a conflict with massacres and ethnic cleansing.
They were not the only interest: Rwanda was convenient to Belgium and France. Strategic location between Africa and French-English, and also borders with Zaire, whose basement was coveted by many "greats" of the earth.
the death of the President, the army of the former single party begins the physical elimination of opposition dell'inera Hutu and Tutsi population. They slaughtered a million people, and others forced to flee their homeland.
This took place in complete indifference of the rest of the world.
It is significant that Jack, The English reporter in the film Hotel Rwanda, faced with images of the massacre comments: " They are intended to be consumed during the dinner hour by millions of viewers distracted and anesthetized, who may not even know where Rwanda." Even
Paul Rusesabagina in a statement reported by Corriere della Sera "in March 2005, said:" The whole world has abandoned us, then guilty, perhaps because there is no oil in Rwanda. The international community has not listened to our appeals: two thousand U.S. soldiers let go shortly after leaving the people indifferent to a killing rage, the fastest of the modern era, the media hardly did it in record time, and that in 100 days killed one million people "
I think you comment on these words alone, I would simply recall that the United Nations in a report, has deliberately refrained from defining this slaughter" genocide, "because This would mean, as it were, a greater presence of these "strong" in Rwanda.
Let me conclude this discussion with other words Rusesebagina said during a press conference at the film's release: "Currently in Rwanda there are at power of the winners who have taken the place of the defeated: it is not true peace, and intimidation of each other. Reconciliation will be only if we all sit around a negotiating table to talk frankly to what has happened. "

Can You Get Hfm Disease On Your Chest?

Doriforo

Professor. Franciosi, an archeologist of just 41 years, is the audacity of the study The passion for culture and we say it, the pride of Herculaneum.
The professor has a completely inverted 'opinion that held since 1863!
This is what explains in his book, then, you know that by 212 BC, the date the taking of Syracuse, and even more by the destruction of Corinth in Greece and the acquisition of the Roman province, there is a large influx of Greek works in Rome. The rich Roman ladies decorate their homes with statues made to arrive from Greece, who could not afford it, asked for copies. Here then, that in the second century. BC arising in Athens marble workshops of scribes. Copies of the statues were not always true, sometimes magnified, sometimes shrinking the original, or even add to the copies of the variants exist in the original.
All in all, however, copies are important to reconstruct the style of the original work (especially when you consider that the original bronze statues were melted down to mint coins and to fashion weapons during the Crusades). In the eighteenth century AD
Winkelmann began applying the philological method in archeology, to study, ie, in addition to original works, including descriptions, written sources. This method led
Karl Friederichs, in 1863, to recognize in a photo copy of the original statue in bronze Doriforo Policleto, from Herculaneum, in reality it turned out, have come from Pompeii. This statue was all a Doriforo Policleto up studies of our prof. Franciosi: "Ever since I was in college, the more I looked at this statue, the more I became convinced that something was wrong." In fact, everyone thinks that the statue holds in her left hand a spear, so it is left-handed, his spear at odds with the figure contrasts the rationality of the work, Furthermore, it seems absurd that Policleto had made a statue with a spear protruding at head height.
If you look closely the general outline of the statue is very similar to that of the Bronze Statues (for example, the chasm between the tension and relaxation of the arms and legs). The Riace, however, had a shield. The professor looked at the Spearman's left hand (or at least widely held that the statue): the index and little fingers are advanced, this means that the hand was keeping something arch, also on the left arm of the copy of Naples have been found signs of oxidation, which would correspond to the cuff of the shield. If you look good right arm, it turns out that this is not so relaxed. A closer look also the position of the hand, we note that it is closed so as to form a square, where it can only get into a sword! So this statue has a sword and a shield and can not coincide with a Spearman, which just for the name is a statue carrying the spear. The professor showed Franciosi, destroying a belief that lasted for centuries, through other studies that the false Doriforo of Naples is actually a Theseus, probably Policleto.
But then, what is the real Doriforo? Pliny in Naturalis Historia writes that the Spearman is "manly boy," according to the professor and coincides with the 'Roman Efebo found in the British Museum of London. Prof. Franciosi then destroyed two beliefs: the Spearman of Naples is actually a Theseus Policleto el'Eufebo London is the Spearman Policleto!

Herculaneum. Now everything is decided and no going back: they have 45 days to leave the Gypsy camp on Via Caprile Overview. In a few minutes Friday it has decided the fate of an entire Roma community, about 200 people, who for years lived in a private estate.
to convene the meeting was the President of the Municipal Council, Pasquale Simeone, who met with the parent committee and the chairman of the eighth, Leonarda case. To convey the rom was Mark Niel, president of Opera Nomadi of Naples, but, apparently, it did not do anything.
"The homeless - Simon says - may no longer be here. We are in a red zone: a paradox. That's why we are putting into practice the initiatives to their removal, in a democratic, civil and unenforceable. " Have been rejected, then 750 000 € offered by the Region to improve the conditions of this gypsy camp. No thanks, better drive them away, ruining the view! So with a simple assembly 200 are sent via Roma, or Gypsies, as you like, but people. Nobody has asked what will happen to those children forced begging, or where to go now or how they will move. The Church proclaims the cross and never alone never alone proclaims the joyful news of Christ's resurrection. Cross and resurrection are the units of a single event: the one who was despised on the cross, was also raised to glory. Proclaiming the martyrdom of the cross only praised the courage and selflessness A hero in favor of men, but would leave us without hope. Announce the resurrection only generate excitement but certainly leave us impervious to the fate of the crucified in history. Announcing the death and resurrection together, like the Gospels, we wish to proclaim the victory of life over death and the liberating burst of light from the darkness of oppression.

Leonardo Boff, theologian of Liberation (pictured right)

who follows this blog knows that the theological approach of the writer focuses on the life of the Christian message beyond the Christic, the commitment to the founding of the Kingdom of heavens, historically rejected efforts by the powerful clergy, who have always exploited their vital energies to take root, grow and become stronger in a world of inequality and injustice, thus relegating to the margins adeguandovisi and a Gospel message that these injustices and the inequalities would not, as an obstacle to the Kingdom 's love.
Why Christianity is not true to their commitment to "subvert" the world, and try to make a palingenesis as the foundation of humanity which had not religion as a guarantor of the change, but the commitment of every single man?
theologians who have addressed this issue have always been so embarrassing gave evasive answers, concerned, if not inspired by the most masochistic of doing good. Most of them, in fact, to justify the removal of historic Christianity from evangelical paradigm uses a deviant sociology , denial of the historical responsibilities of Christianity. In particular, the failure of historic Christianity is explained from the sociological concepts of "historical necessity " and " success", which are the pillars of the argument, very popular in traditional theological circles, that the progressive institutionalization of the Christian movement would have been inevitable, because to grow and survive in a hostile society, the early Christian communities and were forced to compromise with an unjust world and take on the traditional power structures existing in the society of late antiquity.
This unstoppable process of standardization of the alternative represented by the Christian communities of origin, is usually made to coincide with the rise of el'ingerenza Emperor Constantine I in the internal affairs of the Church. In reality, this process of adaptation is manifested almost immediately in the second half of the century, when it began to stabilize institutions such as the clergy, worship, sacraments, etc.. while the Christian movement lost its original revolutionary potential. However, even if in the first centuries of the Christian era the trend was the one just described, with great difficulty surviving community that resisted the Empire (the Asian churches to whom it is addressed the ' Revelation of John constitute the clearest example ), it is no coincidence that the Christian movement will still be persecuted by the imperial power on and off until the early fourth century. The decline therefore did not begin with Constantine, that the alliance between Church and Empire, but with the adoption by the confession most accommodating - one then emerge as Catholicism - the religious mentality, social and political empire, which was a mentality in sharp contrast to the Gospel message and that he had nailed to the cross, that mentality of a man who denounced it as satanic as opposed to God
So the logical step theological intelligentsia is that without standardization, without de-sovvertizzazione, Christianity would not have survived to the story, then the "triumph" of Christianity on the History and its spread around the world owe it to her from time to time to adapt to social and political conditions that presented themselves, and to having expelled from its connotations of its original character alternative, opposition to the corrupt and unjust world. In this perspective, the price was the deviation from the source, the Gospel, to embrace the present, which is a mind that rejects the gospel and that is based on the solid alliance among all the structures of power and oppression.
The justification for the failure of the Christian movement in terms of winning on the History, if one side has a certain degree of validity, at least in terms of logic, the other does not explain the collective renunciation of the Christians to resolve the contradictions of the world. The Church has always benefited from this type of justificationism that, made, resulting in liability with respect to the world and its errors. Inside the church the only voices that rise up against the worldliness deleterious are represented by the theologians of liberation from feminist theologians, who allege that the Church "do not disturb", a friend of power and corruption, deaf and blind to the suffering of the world. Unfortunately, these voices crying in the wilderness have become ghettos and off to the sound of excommunication, clerical-conformist of the popularization of the Gospel and an army of clerics in the grip of the storm and the abuse of power. The thesis of hostility
revenge of history, the position relative gain the culture of late antiquity, it is obviously a cheap solution, a Pilate wash his hands, under which Christians, as now, it autoassolvono responsibilities that adherence to the Gospel means, because as correctly ruled Don First Mazzolari , " man missing man is unjust, the Christian who lacks the Christian is sacrilege." E 'sacrilege then ignore the fate of their brethren are persecuted, impoverished, marginalized by a society that none of it to take literally the new commandment that Christ give us, that friend your neighbor as yourself, whose application could, and can still subvert the world? It is sacrilege in the eyes of a Christian that the churches for several centuries have deliberately underestimated the centrality of loving one's neighbor, imposing silence those who, like the theologians of liberation, that commandment has taken seriously the lamp-making guide of its practice?
not that the idea of \u200b\u200bsuffering as a necessary purification of a world adrift has become the crutch of the inertia of Christians, of their complacency about History? It is for this reason, this call out of the story waiting for a beyond perfect, that we Christians have given up the utopia, the idea aldiquà a perfectible? It is for this reason that the theology of the cross, the instrument used by the Church for theological facilitate the acceptance of the status quo by the masses, collect as much success with the church hierarchy? After all, it is true or not true that a subversion of social order constituted all have something to lose, including the Church which draws its privileges by maintaining the same?
For theology of the cross means a fundamentalist theological formulation of mold, that the focus of the Christian mystery, there is no resurrection, that Christ's victory over death inflicted by humanity, But his death and suffering as such as appendix fundamental reason for this is easy to see why the protesters have dubbed his "theology of death" and because this would intrude into a cult obsessed theology of the cross, both in terms of iconographic that symbolic terms. Recently, the theology of the cross, disgrace for years, was revived by our most learned pontiff, who with his operetta about Jesus, 'has reported the headlines by giving some repainting to make it more palatable to the faithful and to give a certain brio theological immobility that characterizes Catholic doctrine. This is, of course, the same old crap cared only for good theological and perpetual campaign.
The leitmotif of the theology of the cross is that Jesus chose to die in freedom by offering a sacrifice to save humanity from sin and that his death is not the natural outcome of a united humanity against him and against his message the kingdom of heaven. In a traditional theological Jesus is the innocent victim, the sacrificial lamb through whom the world is reconciled with God compared to this view, the theology of the cross contains an even more absurd: the redemption of humanity from Part of Jesus involves the suffering freely chosen; ergo, anyone who sacrifices himself or by spontaneous pain plays a saving in the case of Jesus for all mankind, in the case of other men for themselves. The consequence of this vision is sacrificial self-evident: the exaltation of the cross implies the exaltation of the suffering through which the world must go to atone for sin.

Suffering becomes the ideal of a Christian life lived, it falls within the natural order of things, so we should not diminish it but accept it on behalf of self-sacrifice. Atonement and forgiveness then, are closely intertwined. Only with the purification through suffering the human being you earn God's forgiveness is like using a fallacy of this type is justified millennia of suffering and exploitation of man by man, here's how you switch easily from a theological symbol of the maturity of the believer and the sophistry Apology of violence!
A brilliant attempt to reconcile the theology of the cross and the theology of the kingdom was made by German theologian Moltmann with the development of his theology of hope that, similar to the messianism of Bloch, has recovered the eschatological element and has repositioned the center of Christianity. L ' eschatology it ceases to be a corollary and becomes the essence of Christianity. According to Moltmann, the Christian faith can not be reduced to an intimate, valid only in the private sphere, but is called to inspire hope in people to unlocking the gates of the kingdom of heaven. In practice, this opening of the gates of the kingdom of heaven, as we implement? According to Moltmann is essential to the liberation of man from those oppressive and authoritarian power structures that impede the realization of the Kingdom of heaven on earth. Moltmann is also strongly critical of the theology of the Cross in their enthusiasm to worship the cross as the ultimate expression of Christ as a fetish impotent, exclude the resurrection and the meaning behind it. The eviction of resurrection involves, ultimately, the ouster of the call of Christians to look to the future and to achieve this transformation through faith in the future resurrection of the dead.
A thought which is not very far from that of the Brazilian theologian Leonardo Boff , who argues that access to the true understanding of "sacrifice" of Jesus implies a revaluation of the resurrection in terms of redemption of all violent deaths suffered by innocent, that Jesus testifies to the wrongful death through their consecrated life a commitment to justice and whose prize was the resurrection . We too, then we have a model to follow, which is the sacrificial victim helpless on the cross, taking upon himself the injustice of the world, but the Risen One who has conquered death and that the promises as a free gift resurrection.
