To break the wall of silence that has long surrounded our protests, we had to put in place the most blatant forms of protest, from the occupations of the manned superintendencies, chained to the hunger strikes. We had to resort to forms of mobilization with high media impact, to have the spotlight on us for a few days. But the moments passed the "hottest", the curtain fell again on precarious school. Even our national demonstration on 3 October, with rare exceptions, is passed over in silence and was completely overshadowed by their demonstration for the freedom of information. Sure, there have been interviews, photos, shooting, but very little of all this material was actually aired on television or released on giornali.Se we talked about school, it was done mostly by feel a single bell , that of the government and the minister of education, that misrepresent the reality show and how providential action that actually destroy school.
If the media deals with how the primary school is experiencing the first year with the single teacher and what scenarios lie ahead with the new school and new technical and vocational schools with detailed investigations and analysis, recounting what he really is happening behind the aprons, the vote in the conduct and "salvaprecari," we would not need to put on the roof or in their underwear in front of the Board.
We, therefore, the press and the media to tell the real country, not one of "escort" and partying, but what of the social struggles and mobilizations of workers. We will continue our struggle for the withdrawal of the cuts, to defend the right to work and the right to education enshrined in the Constitution, and we will putting in all forms of mobilization that we deem appropriate. We therefore ask that, contrary to what happened up to now, the media give adequate attention to the voice of the precarious and invite them to join and participate in the sit-in not only the world of school, but also civil society and all those forces who care about defending democracy, the Constitution and the state public school. The state public school is a priceless heritage of the whole society and is perhaps the last bastion of democracy in our country. His defense is therefore in the public interest, not only of precarious, and that is why the media have a duty to inform.
